Feelin'

Sat Jun 7, 2008, 2:09 PM
Feelin' a little crazy today. I am wishing that things were a bit different, but I'm dealing with it all.

Lately, there hasn't been much to photograph, except for my uncooperative greyhound. That maybe due to my unwillingness to go out in the heat and humidity. I might just have to bite the bullet.

Feelin' a little down earlier so I thought of a few things to be thankful for. Supposedly, it's supposed to improve my mood. Here is my short list that I thought of while driving earlier:

Morale Calls from Bill

Yahoo Instant Messenger

Rob Zombie: Never Gonna Stop which made me dance in my car.

Social and creative teens in my house that are making music:Quietus Begotten (they're still adding music, so check back for that.)

Music DVD's that get my head banging.

My greyhound who constantly makes me laugh!

Great Friends who are there when you need them

Having a writing outlet to where you can ramble.

Thanks for reading.

Hope that you all are enjoying your weekend.

Hey, I see that you live in Kentucky! I was wondering, do you think you could help me with a photography project I’m doing? I’ll explain...
I’m from Sunderland University in the UK doing a Photography degree. I’ve decided to do one of my projects on Twin Towns, where towns and cities throughout the world are twinned with each other. At the mo I’ve got someone in Dunkirk, France, Oberhausen in Germany, and Middlesbrough in the UK taking photos for me and I was hoping to get someone in Middlesboro, Kentucky to do the same, because your Middlesboro is twinned with Middlesbrough in the UK. I know it’s a long shot seeing as Kentucky is such a big place but would you be able to give me a hand? I’ll give you more details if you could help me.
Send me an email to sally.hoban@sunderland.ac.uk or send me a message back on devART.
Thanks!!
Sally

 hey there!

Not sure. The last time I looked at the forcast, it was not update yet.

And, the only place that I know they exist in the U.S. is Washington, D.C.

I did buy a Japanese Maple today. I was surprised to find that Home Depot carried them.

It is a favorite of ours and a can't wait to see how it will do once I figure out where to put it.

I looked at the picture for that matsuri in D.C. It looks like the only difference from a matsurin in Japan would be that you would be able to read almost everything.

Wish I could go, I would wear one of my two kimono. On second thought, those are winter weight. I don't know if D.C. is cold in April. I have never been there.

I am curious now. I wonder if a nursery nearby us sells them.

I have my mission. ;)

Hey! :)

yeah, they have a big festival there ever year, but I've only seen them in the news. You can get them to grow down here though, but they're expensive to buy, like between $50 up to $200 each!

Those maples will do fine down here, so no worries!

Yeah, DC could still be cold then, so you might could :)

Good luck on the hunt, left me know how it turns out for you!
